Plagiarism for Profit

To my dearest virtual friends…

I’m so angry right now that I can barely write. Two weeks ago, a reader informed me that an author over in Vampire Diaries had lifted some of my work from Pretty Kitty and rewritten it into their own (horrible) story. I messaged and confronted them, and the work was promptly taken down.

It got me thinking…how often is my work plagiarized? So I Googled a few lines of my stuff, just to see what would come up… and I found something that made me sick.

Someone named Alexandra Anthony is SELLING my work in her own books called The Vampire Destiny series. You can buy them on Amazon and B&N, for fuck’s sake. I’ve written to the author directly through Facebook and told her to delete my work from her stuff before I contact Amazon and B&N, but honestly, the stuff is already out there.

Can anyone BELIEVE that someone had the fucking gall to steal my work and SELL it?

Here’s a (HUGE) excerpt:

“His hands reached for me again, gathering me in his arms and standing us up. He held my thighs across both of his forearms. My hips were splayed wide open above his pulsing cock, causing an unbearable need to rush over my body like it was the first time we’d made love. My hands clasped his shoulders and I moaned in delicious expectation as I waited for him to plunge himself inside me again.

Stefan didn’t make me wait. He never did.

“More,” he demanded, lowering me gently over him. Tears of exhaustion pricked at my eyes, leaving me to rest my heavy head in the crook of his neck. Once again my poor body instinctively responded, eager for more of him. My weary muscles welcomed him weakly. It was shocking how wet I was for him, and he met no resistance as he filled me up until we were joined once again.

How did he do this to me? How could I possibly want him more than I did before?

“Stefan…” I moaned out his name in reverence against his throat. My lips brushed against the softness of his skin, reveling in the sensation.

Sensing my fatigue, he chose a gentle pace this time, slowly lifting and lowering me, teasing him with me. He pulled out completely, only to thrust back in until I cried out. I had no control or strength, yet I managed to contract and clench my inner muscles around him. Rubbing my aching nipples against his chest, I nibbled gently on his earlobe. “My beautiful man,” I whispered distractedly.

“You are exquisitely perfect, Josephine,” he whispered raggedly. “There will never be anyone for me except you. You know this.”

His soft words filled me with my own smug pride. Nibbling my teeth against his cheek, I headed down his face to kiss his fangless mouth.

“I still never get tired of hearing it,” I murmured. Swirling my hips, I bent him in a tight circle, shamelessly coaxing his sharp fangs to come out and play with me.

He felt my intention, my desire for his bite crystal clear. “No,” he rebuked playfully. “You won’t break me, vackra. Your blood destroys my self-control.”

“You won’t hurt me,” I countered teasingly, swirling him again and again deep inside me. “Let’s see if I can bring you to your knees.”

He laughed at my bravado and gripped my ass, stopping my circles and slowing the pace. “Ah, someone is feeling confident. Prove it,” he rasped deeply as he stroked harder inside of me, crushing my bold assumptions.

Moaning, I gave up and clutched his arms, letting him take me harder than before. He was never one to back away from a challenge and he was determined to prove me wrong.

Feeling my surrender, his pace quickened further with excitement. “Morgonen är här. Kom med mig.”

His words caused me to fall helplessly with him into the abyss, vaguely hearing him shout as he emptied himself deep inside me for the countless time that night. Shuddering against him yet again, I helplessly melted against him.

My eyes heavy, I felt the bed rush up to meet us. Had he placed us there or had we finally collapsed, simply falling over from sheer exhaustion? Honestly, I had no way of knowing. I simply crumpled along with him, unbelievably wanting more, yet physically unable to even lift my head.

Shattered and drained, we fell asleep, tangled together in the covers and each other’s arms.

Twisting to my side to face him, I pulled myself out of the memory and back into the present. He looked almost exactly the same as when we’d entered the bedroom last night. He was more rumpled, but nonetheless gorgeous. Unscathed. Lying on his back, he was lost in sleep, oblivious to the fact that we’d destroyed each other for hours in this very bed.

Moving my arms to smooth his hair, the tattered sheet fell away and my eyes were drawn to my own naked skin. There were faint bruises on my hips and breasts where he’d held me, already fading as I brazenly admired them. I adored them and wished irrationally that there were more sprinkled over my skin. This is why he’d chosen not to share his blood with me. He had wanted me to wear his marks, if only for a little while. Taking his blood would cause my mostly immortal body to heal faster and he wanted me to see them, to remember how each one came to be.

Gazing back at his sleeping form, even my silent observations of him made desire swirl angrily in the pit of my stomach. He had warned me that we would be like this: insatiable and all-consumed with one another.

That had been the understatement of the century.

Stretching, I padded into the adjoining bathroom and flicked on the light, instantly catching my reflection in the mirrored room. The woman staring back at me didn’t even look like me. I looked wild, feral. Turning from side to side, I memorized every pale purple fingertip, the pink outline of his hand across my ass, the fading bite marks that scattered a path from my neck to my stomach.

The only thing missing were the marks from his fangs. They’d already healed. The tiny bruises and marks were already vanishing and would be gone by afternoon. Watching them disappear would be almost as frustrating as my numerous attempts to brand him.

Once again, my mind flashed back to hours earlier as I relentlessly attempted to mark him. The scratches and bites I inflicted on him healed within seconds, leaving behind his flawless, perfect skin.

He’d sensed my frustration. He’d kissed me tenderly, following the line of my cheekbones with his fingertips and lips. “I would gladly wear your marks if you could inflict them on me.”

I found this on her WordPress page, which leads directly to the booksellers.

So.  I’m asking everyone to help me expose this fraud.  I’m asking for help.  It’s one thing for a teenager to lift my work for the reviews, but it’s another thing entirely to profit from my hard work.  I’d love some advice, guys.  Can you help me?

Love you,

Heather

I feel your anger and disgust! I found her Facebook page and along with others, I commented on her plagiarism. She keeps deleting these comments and it disgusts me even more! She needs to be exposed!

  2. msbuffy says:

Can’t remember if told you to contact the publisher ASAP too. They are complicit in the plagiarism. They’re responsible for doing the “homework? on something like this. Remember the “author” from the Oprah show, anyone?

I’m not a writer, only a treue reader and this mess made me sick! Shame on this thief!!!!! It’s good to see, how many friends here gave you a helping hand in this case. Please, don’t loose your writing spirt during this shit!!!
Love and hugs from Kerstin (Glamouredbyyou)

  6. So, I just got on this bitches website. Literally, her “Stefan” is just Eric with a different name.

“When she meets Stefan Lifsten, she’s surprised to discover that he’s the man from her dreams. He’s tall, blond and drop-dead gorgeous, but he has his own secrets to hide. He’s a millennia old vampire that’s been on a quest to find her after his own vision 200 years ago…”

This is just ridiculous and disgraceful. Really grinds my gears.

  7. jjbuffy2 says:

she has a Q&A on YouTube too… she’s got her own website as well. I’d be willing to bet she’s stolen more not only from you but others. I’m spreading the word to start leaving comments everywhere this person is on the Internet… starting a stalking club!!

You need to contact B&N, Kobo, Amazon, any of the ePublishers who might have her work. You shouldn’t have even started with her but instead started with these giants. They will confront her professionally. They take plagiarism very seriously. They will take efforts to retrieve the money sent to the plagiarist as well. This is definitely a case of who gets to these ePublishers first, you need to contact them and loudly complain.

  10. Linda Cappel says:

On Amazon’s site, there are two links beneath each story … one to report inappropriate content, and the other to report plagiarism. You’ll have to give them your contact info (though they’ll probably never use it to contact you) and report that you’re the legal owner of said story allegedly written by said author.

  11. Linda Cappel says:

And to really get the point across, click BOTH links and under the inappropriate one, repeat the message that the story has been plagiarized. I’ve got a friend blasting Amazon right now for a writer who has stolen (at last count) two HUNDRED stories she swiped off Literotica. Keep at it and get your friends to do so too. Pull out quotes, like you did here, to prove your point and especially you need to prove dates to substantiate yours came first!

Thank you, everyone. You have no idea how much better I feel just talking to you and reading all of your awesome and amazing support. I’ve been in contact with the writer and publisher. I should be getting copies of all of her vampire books soon. She apologized profusely and promised that no other excerpts of my work are in her books, and has edited that particular scene so that’s it’s no longer mine. She said she didn’t mean to hurt me and loves my story, and may have accidentally found more inspiration in my work that she ought to have. I know that this isn’t quite the truth, but it’s nice to hear the admission. I’ll wait to get the books in the meantime.

I really, truly, seriously love you all. You’ve been incredible. None of us even really know each other, but the loyalty you’ve shared with me makes me tear up a little. I’ll keep you posted. Meanwhile, if anyone wants to buys copies of these books and look them over, feel free. They’re called The Vampire Destiny series 1-3, by Alexandra Anthony.

We are not only fans of yourself, but of writing in general. To see your hard work taken by someone else, and used for THEIR profit, is heartbreaking. For those of us who find our writing outlet through fanfiction, it is particularly heart-breaking. We do what we do NOT for profit but because we love the characters. Some of us are lucky enough to adapt our works into original fictions which can go on to become famous, (Fifty Shades for example), but for the most part, the majority of us are simply happy to write.

I am so glad you are seemingly getting a swift resolution. I truly hope this whole debacle hasn’t turned you off writing for us. We love your writing, and Pretty Kitty is amazing so would be devastating if this person managed to ruin it for all of us as well.

We will always support those authors we love. We will always support the stories we love. And might I mention: Stefan as Eric? I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Damon maybe but Stefan? ewwwwww

    • Mina says:

You have a case against her. She probably will settle this to avoid going to court, but don’t let her walk away with what you rightfully deserve. Lawyer up, ASAP.

What disturbs me so much….is Pretty Kitty is such a beautiful, fun story. It is delightful, and if am over the moon each time you update. I hate Alexandra Anthony spoiling our party!

  16. I suggest leaving plagiarism reviews on Goodreads. Once people get the message that she’s stolen work, they’ll help out. Here’s her on GRs https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15742359-fated?from_search=true

Im ready to sign any petition or post any comments or to follow u in anyway needed in order to expose that whore. No but seriously I love ur stories and ur creativity, I cant believe someone so souless exsits in our fanfic community, to take something someone lovingly created and shared for FREE and try and pass it off as your own is in my opinion beyond fucked up, I cant even imagine the outrage u must feel, Id try and get in contact with her publishers warn them that their publishing plagerized work, maybe speak to some of the people that run the sites that ur stories are posted on, maybe this isnt the first time this has happened, see if and how this was dealt with in the past if its has, also find out if ur work is protected under some form of journalism law or the right to free speach or something Idk or maybe do alittle reasearch online see if others may have gone through something similar and see how they were able to handel the situation, The only thing I dont recommend doing is letting her get away with it, cuz it just sends a message that anyone can get away with stealing someone elses hardwork, and Im pissed off for u cuz I can just imagine myself in ur shoes and I know there are many injustices in the world and bad people sometimes do get away with doing bad things but for some asshole to take this …
This awesome thing that u do in ur spare time, This creative and sometimes fun hobby that u pursue and dedicate ur time and effort to, not only for ur self but also because the love u have for ur fans/readers and for someone to take that, and make it into something that will forever remind u of what u were robbed of and there fore end up resenting , is A CRIME and it should be acknowleged and brought to lite so that it can be a deterrent to other assholes that dont believe in earning there own way and rather steal someone else’s hard work is just as bad as those bitches that get a raise over u eventhough uve been there longer, uve worked harder and u care more about the work than they do the only thing they do thay u dont is swallow ur bosses cum and though ur more qualified, and perhaps better at it she still gets the raise when everyone knows uve earned it and so u leave and I really dont want u to leave Ficlet87 cuz the second u do they Win

  18. outinritefield says:

There has got to be one of your many readers who is an attorney and can help you out pro bono. Can we start a petition? Or do a fundraiser (like with Ericizmine) for attorney’s fees? I’m not very tech savvy but I will do what I can to help.

You should contact Amazon to have them remove the stories and then you can take legal action to sue for reparations.

This is not acceptable and can not continue!

  19. outinritefield says:

I just wanted to let you know (which you probably already do) but when you google the name Alexandra Anthony the first link that comes is for her own wordpress page with the headline “Alexandra Anthony Award Winning Author of the Vampire Destiny Series…”

Winning awards for your work! That makes me sick. I am not an author but I understand the time and effort you fanfic authors put into your work. (something I am very grateful for!) To see someone just take the easy way out and just steal your work is revolting. This must be stopped!!

It makes me wonder how many other authors this has happened to…

    • Buttercup says:

Yes, I’ve seen this about the award. It made me mad. BTW… my review on Amazon already helped a customer.

      • outinritefield says:

I have added to the discussion on Amazon as well. Hopefully we can deter many more people from purchasing ‘her’ stories.

  20. Magpie says:

Sorry to hear that happened to you. (How much did she take & was it pretty much copy/pasted or was it altered?)

This is an issue that’s going to keep happening I think, because it’s so easy to copy stuff that’s online. I suppose it’s a similar issue to sampling in the music industry, but I don’t really understand why good writers would bother with lifting a whole scene and re-jigging it a fit another story – I mean that’s almost as much work as just writing your own stuff. And it just makes me sad that they don’t have enough confidence in their own creativity.

It’s one thing to be inspired by someone else’s work (and credit those sources for goodness sake if they’re blatant) but it’s a different matter to lift lines & scenes wholesale without permission. Cassandra Clare’s early fanfiction was contraversial for that, which I bet she regrets as she does seem to have enought talent & creativity to stand on her own as a published author.

I’m not sure where fanfics stand legally, so I don’t know what your recourse is, but I do think it’s wrong to plaigarise. To be honest, I’m not totally comfortable with fanfic being pulled for publishing, let alone someone taking someone else’s work that was free to fans, written for fans, and then making a profit on it.

I hope you get it some redress, and at least she apologised. Pretty Kitty is a great story btw.

PS. I noticed a while ago that you can’t highlight stories on fanfiction anymore – I tend to highlight when I read to keep my place – and I wonder if that’s because it stops people cut& pasting and they had problems with plagairism. Maybe there’s a way to do the same thing on here? Plaigarist could still painstakingly type out the parts they wanted to steal, but it would at least make it harder.

  21. suki59 says:

I’ve contacted the Organization for Transformative Works with questions pertaining to your situation. My query has been forwarded to their legal department. I’ll share their response as soon as I get it.

  22. Hello,
I just wanted to express my apologies and shock from reading this piece of news. I wrote about my shock as part of a review to “Uncharted” by California Kat on fanfiction, using the following words:
“As a student, I am taught and abide by all rules that plagiarism is wrong. I have never copied any work. If I refer to a source, or piece of evidence, or written work, I always cite, reference and document it. I am appalled that anyone could do such a thing, particularly when writers, such as yourself, dedicate time to write, post, talk, comment and create such wonderful stories, for others to read for free, whilst others copy and abuse your hard work, to profit from it. It is shocking. I am ashamed that people could do that, and I am sorry that people behave and do terrible things.”
I support you in every way possible. If there is anything I can do, I would love to help.
    Take care xx

  23. nedbella says:

Lawyer up if you can. Get some legal advice. There are laws protecting your work and the best way to stop this bitch is to get a lawyer to tell you exactly where you stand. Surely there is a free legal advice dept. you can go to. I am so angry that this has happened. I actually feel like I’m having a hot flush right now. Go after this thief and shame her for the stealing little runt that she is. Good luck and keep us posted. XX

  24. fffbone says:

It really gets me angry that someone did this to you. It makes you really wonder what other stories were stolen that are never caught. I don’t believe a word she says btw. How could you not know what you’re writing.

  27. karasunezumi says:

You need to be paid for this sh*t. As in all of the money she made needs to be in your pocket. This is fu*ked up and it makes me angry. Just her taking the works down means nothing. You need payment for this. If you need money for legal fees I want to suggest you use GOFUNDME and then tell all your readers and friends/family to donate to the fundraiser. I have some cash to spare and I’ll be glad to lend a helping hand.

  28. lostinspace33 says:

I see on Amazon that she has removed that book series and claims to have apologized to you and to be working with you to remove any parts of her books that “have any resemblance to [your] story”. I’m dying to know what sort of ‘apology’ you received and what her response has been to you! Several comments are still calling her out on Amazon and stating that saying you’re sorry isn’t enough when you’re intentionally stealing the work of another.

    • Buttercup says:

Like is said in another post, she only had book #3 removed from Barbes & Noble. #1 and #2 are still there.

  29. ystarr6 says:

    Hey Heather,

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I am furious that something like this happened. Like the rest of your readers, I also feel that you should seek legal actions. She’s sorry that she got caught. Period. Perhaps a lawsuit and a tarnished reputation will prevent something like this from happening in the future.

  30. alh1971fanfiction says:

Civil suit. I’d consult an attorney…

  31. alh1971fanfiction says:

Also, I read descriptions of her work. It is SVM, just with the names changed (the books are about a “telepath empath” and a “blond millennium old vampire” to paraphrase).
    Ugh. Deplorable.

  32. o.o says:

I’ve been reading your stories for years and haven’t really made many reviews. However, I’m so sorry for something like this happening to you since I know you’re really talented and have a really busy lifestyle. I wanted to let you know that I really appreciate you writing all of your stories and feel so bad that this could happen.

I left a review of her book at BN calling her out and hopefully it’ll stay even after she uploads “her” version of the story.

  33. This is disgusting. Have you contacted the publisher?

  34. melarina says:

You should also post this as a new chapter on fanfiction.net. I still have you down as an author and story that I follow and would immediately read a new chapter. You would reach a ton of your fans that way adding to your fans that would contribute to exposing A.A’s plagiarism. Has anyone put it out there to Amazon etc what if the same thing had happened to 50 Shades of Gray. What if she took someone Else’s fanfic story instead of her own and it exploded like 50 has. how much $, legal problems, and public trust would it cost them?

  35. Kittyinaz says:

Reblogged this on Kittyinaz and commented:
So yes I am a day late. But hell, I was ‘off’ for the day, and came back to explosion in my inbox with this. It pisses me off. As you guys well know. then kjwrit published that the lady is going to take the stuff down and work with ficlet. then MistressJessica found that she is deleting posts on her amazon page about it, as well as leaving it up on her wordpress.
Enough. Lets show ms Plagiarism what the TB/SVM fandoms think of her little theft. Spread the word people. This shit needs to end. Really. It is because of this that my original fiction is locked from all but a few. a very few. And I know each and every person it is allowed to.
So please. Do not let this go by. Since you never will know when it will happen to you.

  36. outinritefield says:

Can you let eveyone know that she posted a notice on her facebook page that is just unacceptable. This is what she posted to all of her fans:

“For those of you that don’t know, I am pulling The Vampire Destiny Series from Amazon, Smashwords and B&N. There is a scene in Book 3 that is similar to a fanfiction True Blood story (which yes, I did read). I’m sure it did influence me and it after the author (and her friends) pointed it out, I did change it immediately. I am in the process of giving PDF versions of all the books to this author, but her fans have taken up a crusade after me and TVD quite aggressively on every avenue. At this point, I think I’m going to just hang up my hat and move along. This is exactly why I do not read my genre. I did read the fanfic and yes, it obviously did influence me. But there are no second chances…and I’m pulling the series because I don’t want it to be compared to this author’s fanfiction story.
For those of you that still enjoy my books, I’ll continue on with The Dark Hart Chronicles and my stand alone books. I felt as if I owe you all an explanation.
    Alexandra”

Making it seem as if she did not do anything wrong. I would like to propose that we flood her facebook page as well. Anyone following her needs to know that she can not be trusted!

    • outinritefield says:

And your interest in my work and support right now mean more to me than random people ripping off my shit. You matter more, not them. So stay tuned and I’ll let you know. Your anger is like ten Snickers bars for my soul.

    • ficlit78 says:

Hang on first before you do. She’s sent me the books and I’m going to check them. If she’s sincere and it’s only the one scene, then she and I have reached an agreement about it. But I DO love you so much for so much unwavering support. You guys have been amazing, you have no idea.

      • outinritefield says:

I’ve been reading fanfiction for years and I may not comment all the time but I very much appreciate what you do. You deserve more than an apology. I can’t sit back and believe that you are the first and only person she has plagiarized. I can’t make you do anything and if you are satisfied I will of course step down. I just want to make sure you get the justice you deserve!

    • Buttercup says:

It “influenced” her?! But even the synopsis is a ripoff of SVM… and she used the name of the vampire on Vampire Diaries. What is original in her story? Does she think we’re stupid?

    • Since when are “influence” and “copy” the same thing? NEVER. We are all influenced by others, but that doesn’t me we take their idea or their words without offering citation. As a professor, I get tons of students each year plagiarizing. And most of them act quite contrite AFTER getting caught. (In fact, I have to keep kleenex in my office.) But no one has ever admitted to cheating before getting called on it. And some even “blame” me for finding out about their misdeed. I’ve received threats and even had my car keyed once. It sounds to me like this “admission” of misdeed on this author’s part is hollow. If she’d publicly said–“Yes–I copied __ pages of the fanfiction because the scene was hot and I didn’t think I could do better,” I could at least appreciate her honesty.

But to “hedge” blame by claiming “influence” and not “theft?” Ridiculous!

      • ficlit78 says:

My hubby is a professor too and finds copied work all the time in his students’ work. He’s kind and tends to just fail them rather than report it to the university. It’s funny, I think universities have stricter plagiarism penalties than they do for rape. Bastards.

I just pulled up her FB site and even the heading has the lower part of woman s face with red lips, mouth open and smoke coming out. This looks a lot like the TB icon/picture. As m u ch as TB &AB have ticked us all off maybe they should get a call from one of us. Trust me if AB or HBO thought something of theirs was being taken Ms. Thief would disappear under the bodies of lawyers jumping on board for the ride. She is really a stupid person to think this would fly.

  44. ficlit78 says:

    UPDATE:

First of all, I must say that the collective lot of you have moved a freakin’ mountain. I’m shocked, to be honest. In the space of 24 hours your combined might has completely removed a book series from every available avenue. I was going to have to fill out a lot of paperwork with Amazon and Smashwords, but your reviews and angry comments have done the job faster than I ever could have alone.

Second, it’s true, I am in talks with Alexandra. She’s very communicative and admits that while she took her work and FB sites down due to your pressure, she’s genuinely sorry and admits she used my scene. She swears that she’s not used any others and has sent me copies to check. I’ll do so in the next few weeks. I’ll know what to do once I’ve done so.

Third, and this is the biggest one… I have the most loyal and resourceful friends in the world with you people. I never imagined when I wrote this post that anything revolutionary would come out of it. It really goes to show how many protective writers and supportive readers are among us. Plagiarism is the plague of the computer age. For some reason, people know not to take an unattended bike, but think that internet content can not only be taken, but appropriated. After all, you can take a bike, but no one thinks you built it. Written work is the child of our minds. I shouldn’t have to tell people that my work is mine alone, anymore than I should have to provide video evidence of me giving birth to my sons just to deter a kidnapper. “See? Right there? He crowned? I’m screaming a lot, right? Anyway, I think this is sufficient proof that you can’t just steal my kid. Cuz he’s mine. Refer to the bloody video again if you aren’t sure.”

And 95% of your awesome readers already know that, because you got mad smarts. I love you for them.

Anyway, I’ll continue to keep everyone posted. Smoochas to youchas, as I always say.

    • You’ll be able to check to see if she stole your work but what about other authors has she stolen from? Perhaps her next series is a rip off of some Twilight or Vampire Diaries fanfic (I only read SVM/True Blood so I can not be sure). I think this proves that she can not be trusted and should have all of her work analyzed and cross referenced across the internet. I’m all for getting the torches and pitchforks and making an example of her. I will however heed your advice. You are after all the wronged party in this and I will abide your wishes.

No, you’re right. There may be others’ work in the books. Even when I read them, I’ll have no way of knowing for sure outside of my own. I guess the only thing all of us can do is what I was doing in the first place: Googling our phrases to look for sources using them that aren’t us. It seriously took me five minutes to find this woman.

  45. I am a reader more then a writer, but having just my poetry stolen in high school and submitted to thw schools creative writing newsletter I know just hurt and angry some one can be if someone steals what ffh out poured your blood sweat and tears into. I am behind you 110 percent. No one has the right to blatantly steal your work then be so flippant about it. I have avoided writing my own fan fiction because having read so much I am afraid it will leak into my own work and accidentally copy some ideas from someone else. The idea of someone doing so deliberately just turns my stomach. I hope you will not let the jerks out there deter you from writing your wonderful stories.

Heather, if you can, send me an email. I have some info for you that I don’t want to put out publically. You should be able to see it.

    Thanks!

Wow just now found out about this and I don’t understand how she could think she would get away with this. I’m happy to see things are working out now and I hope the embarrassment this whole thing caused her has taught her a lesson and she’ll never do this again. How lovely that this community is so protective of each other? 🙂 Happy things are working out and that you’re not drowning under mountains of redtape ficlit! Your work is awesome and it’s yours and it should stay that way! *hugs*
